“My experience at Belmont Abbey has been amazing. I’ve met lifelong friends, and taken classes with wonderful professors. My favorite experience so far has been the Abbey Players. Performing with them will be something I never forget!”
This Past Week At The Abbey
Drag Racer Brittany Force gave our Motorsport students a great welcome, we honored her as Crusader for the Day, and she proceeded to race to her second Top Fuel victory of the season. She won the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, becoming the first female driver to win the unique event.
The Motorsport students got a behind the scenes tour!
Thursday was the second annual “Swing in the Quad” complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, a fire and fantastic company!

This past week was Preservation Week. The Abbot Vincent Taylor Library held several different events throughout the week including but not limited to exhibits from the Library’s Rare Book Collection, preservation demonstrations, and a journal-making workshop!
With great joy, we welcomed our alumni back from their 8-month mission trip to Tanzania.
Elizabeth, Brigid, Daniel, and Clem all graduated from the Abbey in May 2015.
On Friday, Fr. Chris joined several students, staff, faculty, and alumni in welcoming our BVC volunteers back.
They shared what their experiences to everyone including the next batch of BVC volunteers: Anja, Will, Conor, and Elena.
They will all graduate in just a couple weeks, excepting Conor who graduated in May 2015!
Later on, Friday Night was the annual Last Day of Classes Luau!
