Inaugural Motorsport Symposium
This past week, we were happy to host the Inaugural Motorsports Symposium!
Two legends of the sport were on hand as H.A. “Humpy” Wheeler presented famed car owner and promoter Cary Agajanian with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
On hand to talk about the involvement of Millennials in NASCAR were team owner Justin Marks, driverJordan Anderson, driver William Byron, DMR NASCAR Heat Executive Matt Dusenberry andNASCAR Senior Director of Social Media and Broadcast Communications Scott Warfield (L to R).
Among the alumni of Belmont Abbey who returned to speak were Chip Ganassi Racing Teams‘ Ian Moye, NASCAR‘s Chris Galde, Jeff Gordon Inc.’s Dan Guffey, Charlotte Motor Speedway‘s Jessica Fickenscher, and WIX Filters‘ Jennifer Gibson (L to R).

Hannah Zenker Wins the Mile!
The Belmont Abbey Women’s Indoor Track & Field team competed this afternoon at both the Mountaineer Indoor Track Meet from Boone, NC and the Wake Forest Invite from Winston-Salem, NC. The sprinters and field event athletes competed in Winston-Salem, while the distance runners competed in Boone. In Boone, Belmont Abbey finished in ninth place overall and fourth among Division 2 teams. Click here for the full story!
Ferguson Hits Eight Threes, Leads Five in Double Figures
WILSON, N.C. — Belmont Abbey’s Ben Ferguson canned eight 3-pointers enroute to 26 points, both career highs, but a late rally fell short in a 90-82 setback at Barton in men’s basketball action Saturday afternoon. Click here for the full story!
Wrestling Competes in Kutztown Duals
KUTZTOWN, PA. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team competed in four matches as a part of the Kutztown Duals. The Crusaders competed against Shippensburg, East Stroudsburg, LIU-Post and host Kutztown. Julian Smallwood Makes Way Into Nation’s Top 20 Freshmen with Abbey Shot Put Record
