An independent higher education consultancy has rated the recent Belmont Abbey College brand redesign in the top 10 of the World’s Best Rebrands in higher education. Based on a recent global survey of more than 100 higher ed brand identity redesigns over the past 2 years, Ken Steele of Eduvation counted down the 10 best rebrandings – those that are professional, memorable, balanced and well-designed, and that didn’t spark a backlash from faculty, students or alumni. He gives high praise to the work done to redesign our marks in his assessment.

He notes that the Belmont Abbey College redesign is a dynamic, fresh design with an aspirational quality that points to our both Catholic and academic qualities. In his opinion our redesign was not radical but helped to bring our brand into the 21st century with fresh typography and colors plus an invigorating new Crusader design.

Ken has consulted with hundreds of colleges and universities, helping them interpret market research, understand their competitive context, and develop distinctive institutional strategies and brand positions using his proprietary Brand Chemistry™ model.
