Once again the motorsport industry gathered at Belmont Abbey College to reflect on the year past and to look ahead to 2018. Motorsport leaders representing F1, Indycar, NHRA, NASCAR and Formula E held an introspective discussion on what lays ahead for each of their series, marketing experts representing Richard Petty Motorsports, NASCAR, Joe Gibbs Racing and Fox Sports discussed the best practices in Marketing and Social Media, and our own Belmont Abbey College Motorsport Class of 2012 reflected on how they go to where they are and where they are headed. The morning ended with the presentation of the Wheeler Award for a lifetime contribution to Motorsport Excellence to Don Miller of Penske Racing South presented by Humpy Wheeler. The summit gave the newest generation of motorsport students an opportunity to network with those who have forged the sport of today. We look forward to a great new year and to our 2019 summit.
