We were excited to learn that a member of the Belmont Abbey College, Board of Trustees was invited to do the invocation at the U.S. Senate on November 19, 2019. Monsignor Marcaccio is a tremendous supporter of our college and it’s a blessing to have him on our board.

Here his invocation at the U.S. Senate:

Monsignor Marcaccio

Monsignor Anthony J. Marcaccio, ordained in 1991, is Pastor of St. Pius the Tenth, in the Diocese of Charlotte. Prior to his assignment to St. Pius the Tenth, Msgr. Marcaccio first served in Charlotte, then in mountain parishes of Western North Carolina and as Priest Secretary to Bishop William G. Curlin for five years. He also served as Vice Chancellor of the Diocese in 2002. Since his arrival at Saint Pius the Tenth in 2000, the parish became the first in the Diocese to establish endowments of over 1 million dollars, the Columbarium with its bell tower was constructed, and a new church was built and then dedicated in April 2010.
