In May of 2019, CaroMont Health and Belmont Abbey College announced an exciting new partnership between The Abbey and plans for CaroMont Health to build a $300 million dollar hospital just steps from our campus. The Gaston Gazette recently reported that this project is one step closer to becoming a reality after CaroMont Health received state approval and its Certificate of Need from North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services. The final step is underway and a final decision is expected as early as March! This is an exciting new chapter for Belmont Abbey College and we look forward to continued updates regarding this project.
