Belmont Abbey showed itself a leader by being the first college in the country to have a crisis pregnancy center connected with our college community. MiraVia (formerly known as Room at the Inn) has welcomed numerous young women, including our own students, into a safe and supportive environment, supported them in preparing for the birth of their child and provided them with skills for success through their first year as mothers. Residents of MiraVia are among our students and several are now among our alumnae.
The greater part of MiraVia’s funding comes through the annual banquet, held each year in October. Because of the pandemic, this year’s banquet will be a free online event held on Thursday, October 29th at 7 PM.
