  • Continued responsibility monitoring voltage and load concerns as it
    pertains to Transmission assets. Lead role training, managing and
    overseeing new engineers being introduced to utility power systems for
    the first time in the area of Transmission.
  • General Office Transmission Engineer 2005 – 2012
  • Responsible for monitoring and correcting the company’s voltage and load
    concerns on the company Transmission Assets. This requires the review of
    regulatory policy in maintaining voltage and power factor levels mandated
    by the state regulatory commissions. Also, serve as a point of contact for
    both upper management and employees for major project business decisions.
  • Acting Regional Reliability Director for Airport 2001 – 2005
  • Appointed to lead, monitor and address Charlotte Douglas International Airport’s
    reliability concerns utilizing business expansion group, reliability engineers and linemen
    crafting various solutions addressing those concerns. I am the direct contact for the
    Marketing Account Managers handling the airport’s account for Operations. Also,
    responsible in managing Duke Power Company’s asset growth as it pertains to the
    airport’s long-term and short-term growth plans.
  • Regional Planning Manager 1993 – 2001
  • Responsible for the planning, designing and managing of the electrical distribution
    system for Central Region Western Area encompassing cities from Charlotte to Hickory
    Also, serves as an electrical consultant to other engineers in
    Distribution Wires for design and implementation of engineering and service reliability
    projects and practices. In addition, serves as a business consultant to Account Managers
    (Regional and National) from the Retail Business Unit interfacing directly and indirectly
    with commercial and industrial customers on a regular basis. I am responsible for
    preparing a detail five-year planning study and presenting that study to the regional
    staff leaders from various departments for budgetary planning and implementation of
    6.0 million dollar budget. I am responsible for managing all cost solutions associated
    with my recommendations. These recommendations are sometimes represented to local
    and/or State Zoning Boards and Planning Commissions. I am a direct contact for
    Marketing, Power Delivery, Power Quality, System Planning and Transmission issues for
    the Distribution Wires Business.
