Real Life Experiences for Our Students
Stephen Ward, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, knew that to truly understand you must do. With that in mind, for students looking at a future in law they needed some way to do those things that their future career will require of them. The Mock Trial course was born and last fall a group of interested students, faculty and administrators enjoyed a real, live, mock trial of intrigue. The trial featured two teams of three lawyers, a real judge and witnesses spanning all ages.
If you missed it, you missed a great demonstration of skill by our students. The team was invited to compete with division I schools, and while the invitation was not accepted, the invitation shows the level of skill these students have gained through this exciting course. See scenes from the final Mock Trial and hear from Stephen Ward on how this course gave our students an exciting opportunity.
