To vote in the 2020 General Election on November 3, you must be registered to vote by October 9, 2020.

The Higher Education Act Amendments of 1998 requires universities to make a “good faith effort” to make voter registration forms available to you.  Voter registration forms are available to Belmont Abbey College students in the Crusader Success Hub during normal business hours. Residential students can choose between using your on-campus address to vote or your permanent home address.

More information on this decision, its implications and other considerations can be found at www.campusvoteproject.org/stateguides/north-carolina. If you choose to show proof of residency using your campus address, please send an email to registrar@bac.edu including your full name, student ID number and your residence hall. The Registrar’s Office will contact you as soon as the letter is ready and you will be able to pick it up in the Crusader Success Hub.

North Carolina residents should visit www.ncsbe.gov/registering/how-register for more information.

For students wanting to register to vote using their non-NC home address, please visit www.eac.gov/sites/default/files/eac_assets/1/6/Federal_Voter_Registration_ENG.pdf for registration information by state.

Please see the website of the U. S. Election Assistance Commission for further information regarding voter registration.  Interested parties can also select to register to vote by mail.
